The Fabric Light Transmittance Test Machine measures the opacity of fabrics. A stable incandescent light source emits light of a certain intensity, which passes through a coated fabric. Using a standard tester, the amount of light transmitted through a 100 cm area of the fabricafter absorption and blocking by the coated materialis measured and compared with the original light without a sample. The result is expressed as the transmittance percentage.

Application

Light transmittance test machine for fabric  is used to determine the total visible light transmittance of the fabric to evaluate the shading properties of the fabric and is suitable for sheet textile products such as curtains.

Standard :

JIS L1005-2009:Japanese standard for testing the dimensional stability of textiles to washing and drying.

FZ/T62011.1-201: Chinese textile industry standard specifying requirements and test methods for household textile products.

Principle:

1. A light source (light bulb) is illuminated, and the light is irradiated to the photodetector of the illuminance meter;

2. Adjust the brightness of the light source to 10.000 (1X);

3. Determine the illuminance of the sample;

1: illuminance (lx) after installation of the sample; I0: no illumination of the specimen (I1: I1 / I0) 100%, I1: Lx).
